Flea markets are my kryptonite! I love them, but all too often I find myself powerless to the charms of tattered recipe books, rusted metals, aged wood and charming fabrics. A few of my good friends took their love of vintage and turned it into something magical- The Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer.
The Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer is a one-of-a-kind vintage vendor fair that melds community, creative inspiration and nostalgia. In addition to being an avid attendee, this year I had the opportunity to photograph the event.
The vintage inspired Natrona Bottling Company van was a perfect fit and kept the many, many shoppers hydrated during their intense vintage shopping.
For its sixth edition, the PGH Vintage Mixer added a twist- a Friday night “Night Owl” preview event/early bird special, complete with live music from The Gothees and guest emcee and Pittsburgh drag queen Alora Chateaux.
Great people watching, great people and great finds make the Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer one of my favorite events of the year! You know it’s a big deal when Rick Sebak makes an appearance too!
Congrats to the Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer team! It was another successful event! Plus, check out the vintage gems I scored!
