Dustin and Alyssa are a couple with their own collection of creative photos, particularly their annual “FriendShoot.” Each year, Dustin gathers several of his friends for a curated event of photographed fun.
One FriendShoot included a truck full of giant, red balloons. Another featured tiny tricycles, leapfrog (?) and running down a long hill.
The point being, this pair needed to have fun for their engagement shoot, and in my world, fun usually includes some food too. To the roof!
A friend of Dustin and Alyssa lent us his rooftop access smack dab between Pittsburgh’s Downtown and South Side neighborhoods. Seeing the city pulse and sparkle from that unique perspective was impressive, and I could easily have passed several summer nights up there!
Dustin is a home brewer, so it was only appropriate their rooftop hangout would feature his brews. I loved the beer’s custom bee labels.
If a rooftop is your only “yard,” I imagine you’d want a little patch of green, so I styled a mini rooftop oasis for Dustin & Alyssa, complete with a patch of astroturf and classic lawn chairs.
The picnic spread channeled some of summer’s most refreshing fruits: watermelon and sweet blueberries!
Hanging on a rooftop, in the center of it all, with watermelon, beer & bocce- not a bad way to pass the time at all!
Congrats Dustin & Alyssa!
