ABOUT PARK(ING) DAY
PARK(ing) Day is an annual, open-source global event. The mission of PARK(ing) Day is to call attention to the need for more urban open space, to generate critical debate around how public space is created and allocated, and to improve the quality of urban human habitat … at least until the meter runs out!
DECLARE YOUR BIG LOVE IN A TINY SPACE:
A PARK(ING) DAY WEDDING EVENT AT BAYARDSTOWN SOCIAL CLUB
6pm-Midnight, Friday, September 18, 2015
3008 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15201
Inspired by personal stories, Quelcy Kogel, of Quelcy | Styling & Creative Works, is offering couples a chance to say or renew their wedding vows. In collaboration with many talented vendors, Quelcy will transform the spaces in front of Bayardstown Social Club into a Wedding Ceremony and a Wedding Reception space. After renewing their vows, couples are invited to celebrate at Bayardstown Social Club with food trucks, live music and photo opportunities.
All are invited to attend and interact with the PARK(ing) Space, but participation in the wedding portion will include a minimal fee.
Fill out this form, and I’ll send you more specific information.
Wedding Participation cost is $20/couple + Flower Options (Prices Vary)
Participation includes a decorated ceremony space with an officiant, a dessert for you to share as a couple, entrance to Bayardstown Social Club, and photo opportunities with professional photographers, which will be available via Facebook. Print options will be available through Mandy Fierens (with a separate pricing option).
In keeping with the mission of PARK(ing) Day to support urban open space, part of the proceeds will benefit Hazelwood Urban Farms, founded by Kyle Pattison, who is on a mission to turn several vacant lots in Hazelwood into viable farmland.
*Your ceremony time will be narrowed to a smaller window the week of the event.
