Wandering around the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh, you might find yourself drawn to a sweet scent- the smell of fudge in the making- lots and lots of fudge! Every package of Fudgie Wudgie’s artisan fudge is made at their facility right in the heart of Pittsburgh. Photographer Adam Milliron and I spent five whole days in this sweet smelling world, where I saw the biggest packages of chocolate and sugar I have ever beheld in my life!
After entering this wonderland of fudge, I was pleasantly surprised to discover the quality of the fudge ingredients, as well as the master behind the recipes- a real European chocolatier! One of the goals of the shoot was to convey Fudgie Wudgie’s use of natural ingredients.
They start with real, whole cream and add fresh butter, one pound at a time. They use real vanilla extract, never imitation, they always start with 100% Imported Belgian Chocolate, and for the most part, the process is done by hand. If you needed an excuse to indulge in some fudge, I’m giving it to you!
