In the Winter 2013 Issue, Table Magazine ran a feature rooted in the idea of hosting dinner parties for loved ones instead of traditional gift giving. The story divided into three dinner party levels: a Table for Two, a Table for Four, and a Table for Twelve.
A Table for Four was all about brunch. The article recommended brunch cocktails and a parfait bar with lots of fixings. On top of food suggestions, the article included color palette ideas for each table grouping.
I spray painted a branch I scavenged to add a wintry white feel to the cool tones of this palette and selected a dried and preserved seeded eucalyptus from Roxanne’s Dried Flowers for a plate garnish.
The table setting mixed and matched the elegant and rustic with a contrast of my own Indian textile and the more country plaid table cloth. The bosc pears and the dark leafy greens highlighted the winter, yielding a beautiful table scene I would love to recreate for my own brunch gatherings.
