In thinking about their engagement shoot, Sophia had this to say-
The locations [should] really capture what we love about the landscape of Pittsburgh – the gritty, urban, post-industrial side, and the serenity of the three rivers. Our canoe lets us escape life’s distractions and stresses, and float away, just the two of us, together. That’s the feeling we want to capture.
Canoeing down the river with the love of your life and the skyline glowing in the sunset is already pretty lovely, but my idea was to add a touch more summery romance to Pat and Sophia’s river experience.
I love a good picnic, but I especially love a beautiful picnic when it comes to putting a couple at ease for their engagement photos, which can all too often feel forced and uncomfortable. Above all, my goal was to plan an experience for the pair, so the camera would fade into the periphery.
Congrats to Sophia & Pat!
